1944 Rocha Port (I think it's a Colheita).

Though I'm not buying much at the moment, this was too good of a deal to pass up. Part of a small mixed lot, it worked out to be about $75. I can't find any info on this Port so see THIS THREAD WHICH HAS PICTURES

Yesterday, I shared with my wife a sample of the 1952 Graham Diamond Jubilee colheita that has just been released.

Today I have been instructed to buy a bottle. What is a man to do?

Ever the obedient husband, I now own one...

I have a while to go before I'll be in that situation. This purchase has doubled the number of bottles of colheita that I own :snooty:

7 bottles of Bomfim 1999 for £20 each. 1 to drink now and 6 to tuck away for cheap future drinking in 7 or 8 years time.

On the Bomfim, nice grab!

You should bring one to drink with you there next month. [shrug.gif]

I thought it was pretty good too! It's drinking really nicely at the moment - in that sweet spot after the initial period of having shut down. The 1998s are there too.

I could, but have other things planned instead. Last year at Bomfim I shared bottles of Bomfim '65 and Dow '46, both rather special (and tasting notes for both are on the database).

Importer of Andresen ports has reduced the prices here in Norway for some of the more interesting products.
Purchased:
3 x Andresen NV 40 years old tawny
3 x Andresen 1980 Colheita
3 x Andresen NV 20 years old tawny
3 x Andresen 1997 Colheita

All tasted at the Andresen cellar in Porto during FTLOP Harvest Tour 2010

Picked up an odd bottle of 2000 Smith Woodhouse LBV--see no notes here but I respect their LBVs with the 1995 a particular favorite--let's hope they've kept it up.

9x Osborne 1992 VP [shrug.gif] (no idea how these will turn out, I've got one on deathrow for next week when I'm organising a little wine tasting) at auction a couple of weeks ago (got them delivered last week). They all do look to be in very good condition, which at least gives some hope that they have been cellared well over the years.
I've never seen a TN on this particular VP.

Today was a day of buying questionable ports. A full case of Niepoort 1997's, but inspected prior to purchasing and no cork seepage. We had to go through two cases to get enough bottles without visible problems however.

And I also stumbled across a 1991 and 1994 Taylor's LBV at the same supplier. I bought those two out of curiousity, never had such an old filtered LBV before. But I don't have high hopes..

Just like several people on the forum....

6 x 750 ml 1983 Gould Campbell
6 x 750 ml 1985 Gould Campbell

I've actually have been looking at importing some of the 1983 from the UK... and watching the exchange rate to find the right time to pull the triger. But this deal was better than anything I could find over there. So I went for it! I probably should have gone for a full case of the 1983, but I'm trying to be good 8--)

3 x Cockburn 20 year Tawny

A case of Niepoort 2000 and a case of Niepoort 2005, two years that were missing from my (now almost complete) lineup of Niepoort's vintages from 1970 to the present day. Still some gaps pre-1990 however.

Also, a box of Niepoort Crusted 2007, to satisfy most situations where I would otherwise have been tempted to open a recent Niepoort Vintage ;-)

And finally, a bottle of 1998 H&H single vintage Madeira.

Roel.

1 x 1987 Graham Malvedos Vintage Port
5 x 1983 Graham Vintage Port
6 x 1985 Gould Campbell Vintage Port

The first is our Anniversary year and I needed a bottle for a party. Having heard good things about the second I used it to fill in the six pack from Wine Consigners. The last was from Rare Wine Company.
