I must admit when reading your post about the LBV tasting this month ... I was green with envy. I'd love to be there for that one!

Vintage & Crusted Ports:
2007 Quinta do Tedo Sevedra Vintage Port This was one of the best young VP's I had during my October visit to the Douro and it still stands out in my mind.
1970 Niepoort Vintage Port (from the dumpy bottle). I've had the regular bottling several times, but I finally got to see what everyone talks about regarding these dumpy bottles being better.
1934 Warre's Vintage Port Enjoyed with friends in the Douro after a splended day, this bottle was firing on all cylinders and was magical.
1965 Quinta do Noval Crusted Port It may be a "poor mans Port" but it's still good 45 years later.

Wood-aged Ports -
1970 Andresen Colheita Port: Man oh man this is about as good as you can get, to bad they don't sell it anymore.
NV Constantino "Roncao Velho" Tawny: Bottled sometime in the 1920-30's who could even imagine a tawny Port could be this good almost 90 years later.
1992 Quinta do Vesuvio Colheita: With good friends and Harvest Trip members I feel like we drank a pipe of this ourselves and it even convinced some nay-sayers of Colheita's that they can be just as good as a top notch VP. They don't sell it, so you have to visit the Quinta to drink it, which makes it even more special.
Taylor Fladgate 30 Year Old Tawny Port: It's been a long time since I've last had this, too long in fact, and I had forgotten how good it is.


Other Ports -
Croft Pink Port mixed with green tea at The Yeatman Hotel. I'm not a big fan of it on its own, but this made a really good drink.
1875 Cucamonga port by Lewis Lewin & Co: From an area east of Los Angeles this wow'd everyone for the short time it lasted.
Quinta Vale do Coelho LBV 1961 - I'm stealing Derek's words for this one....."fabulous juice and a fantastic experience to share it with Dom Symington and other good friends at the quinta where it was made."

It would have been easy to list some other well known and often tasted and talked about Ports, and not to dimish those wonderful bottles, but I felt it would be better to keep this list focused toward more of those "off the beaten path" bottles that stood out in my mind.

Vintage
1931 Noval – Needs no explanation except it lives up to the hype.
1970 Fonseca – Can anyone get sick of this vintage?
1970 Niepoort - Just as powerful as the Fonseca. Toss up which one is better.

Colheita
1970 Andresen – Amazing what a Colheita can be on a major vintage. Most often this juice goes to vintage. A real treat.
1952 Delaforce – Wow. Glad NH Liquors still have this in stock. Great coffee/toffee notes. An awesome Colheita vintage for several producers.
1992 Quinta do Vesuvio – I can see why they keep it to themselves and guests.
