A bottle of '83 Fonseca, the other half of a brace that I bought at auction, and the first wine I ever owned that was older than me. May not be the most thought provoking wine, and probably one of the lesser Fonseca VPs overall, but the sentiment is there in spades.

I guess it would be my one remaining bottle of Nimrod. ( :beat: - he's at it again. )

Good thing you said "not necessarily the most valuable", because as a getting-elderly-in-the-bottle tawny, it is surely dropping in value.

I suspect that some of my souvenir (empty) bottles have almost as much value to me as some of the lesser full bottles, so there is that to consider, as well.

No; it was last bottled in mid-2008, so any existing bottles are in at least as bad condition as I suspect mine is. I will open it eventually and think back on the several hundred bottles I opened and enjoyed. :winepour:
