Storage of a Case of Port

Despite Alan's experience, I have found that many of the Nacionals are awsome ports and clearly above the rest of the pack. The 1963 is probably the best of the 63's for drinking now (and seems to have plenty of life left). The 94 is awsome, as is the 97, 2000, and 2003. And those are just the ones I have had. Is every single vintage a winner? No, but some sure are!

Are they worth the money? Well, that would vary depending on how much money you have. But I would suggest that if any wine across the world is worth that much, the 63 Nacional is.

As for storing cases, if I get the Port in a case, that's how I will store it (in my basement) until it's taking up to much room (i.e when theres only ~5-6 bottles left). Tha cases are fairly sturdy (after all they ship them across the world in them), and in earthquake prone California, give me a little added confidence in the wines longterm life expectency.
