My wine coolers do not take Magnums, so I had to drink it, honest :roll:

....and, yes, I now have to open more bottles to fill my cork boxes 8--)

Alex, as Tom suggesed already I think your right on the money. There is always some exposure to oxygen at the time of bottling. The critical experiment would be to take the same batch of port and put some in bottle and some in sealed glass 750 mL ampules. My guess is you would get sediment in both over time.
