Carlos,

In general, in your area of Spain ... do they carry much in the way of Port?

If so, please share with us what types you see most often ... LBV, Colheita, 10/20 year old Tawny, VP? Also, how are the prices?

I assume finding top notch Douro wines is pretty easy?

Very curious about this, in European countries besides the UK, which we get to hear lots about. Thank you. :winepour:

Roy,

It's very easy to buy Port. You can buy it nearly in every wine shop, but they usually don't have more than 1 brand and neither VP. Mostly they do have LBV and 10yr tawny. That is very easy to expain; custumers doesn't know they do exit more than one kind of port, not even shop assistants.

Here you can easily find:
Gilberts G 1999: 76,10€ / 1994: 160,10€ / 10yr tawny: 21,70€
Niepoort 10yr tawny: 31,65€ / LBV 2001: 18.85€
Taylor's 2000: 86€ / 10yr tawny: 18,50€
Graham's LBV 2003: 15,10€
Fonseca Guimaraens 1998: 55,40€
Quinta do Noval 2000: 163€ / 1995: 85,50€ / 10yr tawny: 28€ / LBV 2001: 20,90€
Quinta do Crasto 2003: 46,70€ / LBV 2001: 18,60€
Quinta Vale D. Maria 2002 & 2005: 42,69€ each
Martinez 2003: 64€
Dalva 2003: 38€ / LBV 2000: 14,30€ / colheita 1990: 21€
Pousada 10yr tawny: 14,50€
Osborne 10yr tawny:18,25€ / 20yr tawny: 38.65€
Ramos Pinto 1994: 73€
