I should think so, as the maturation process is faster in a 0.375 cl bottle.

I've been happily drinking the Quevedo 2011 LBV in the regular size for the last few years and it very good in my opinion.

I've seen the 2011 Quevedo LBV in State Stores in PA.....but in the northeast its always in two pack with a 10 year tawny with a hefty price tag IMHO.

If you're only talking about a couple of years, you can pretty much do what you like without much difference. If you were looking at perhaps 4+ years of storage prior to drinking then per previous I would prioritise filtered over unfiltered, and halves over fulls, but with the timescale you mention I would simply do as you prefer (e.g. if you want to share a particular one, don't feel you can't; if you prefer to rotate, or save one, do it).

oh, i've never seen that. i haven't seen it on the website, either. i've gotten the half bottles in a sampler of their more basic products. and once i found a 750 on the shelf. no price tag. the clerk had to get a manager who took a good while to figure out how to ring me out for it. i told them whether it was a special order hold that was never picked up so put out, an internet return, whatever, that it's in the store means it's in the system somehow and i wasn't leaving without it. :)

ah, thanks! i think "soon" means a bit sooner to me than it does to you. i don't really intend to keep anything for 4+ years at this point, though i suppose with a couple of these LBVs i could consider it.

Out in NEPA thay have Quevedo Crusted for $34 and Dows Crusted for $24 (on sale). Those might be in your wheelhouse. I've been wanting to try the Quevedo; have had a few Dows Crusteds but the results were mixed (2002 better than 2004) but have not had one in over 4 years.

i've had Quevedo's Crusted, my only Crusted so far. it's wonderful! we did a vertical of the Ruby, that bottle of 2011 LBV, and Crusted. it's definitely the best balanced i've had of anything by them and that was shown off really well in the vertical. i think i understand what "balanced" means a lot better, now.
i like Quevedo a lot but i think they tend to run 'hot' alcohol-wise. the Crusted didn't. i've also had their White and Reserve Tawny.

do you decant Crusteds? i decanted it for an hour, maybe two, while we tried the Ruby and the LBV and shot the breeze. i had meant to decant for 3 or 4 but forgot.

Yes, crusted are like a VP or unfiltered LBV. Age-worthy. They should throw off sediment.

there was barely any sediment and it was very fine, no chunks.
