Even with my very limited Portuguese I understood this part! :wink:

My problem is that what I've learned has been via audio, so I don't really read much at all. I've learned a few basics about pronunciation, and that is sometimes enough for me to sound out written words, but them I'm often surprised to recognize the word once I say it out loud.

Here are two Portuguese phrases that will see you through a trip to Oporto and/or the Douro:

>> duas Super Bock por favor.

>> uma garrafa de Vinho do Porto e alguns Serra por favor

Gonçalo, obrigadissima, You're sweet to say that - publicly too! - but believe me, it ain't! I can usually, with a little forethought and a dictionary, say (or write) what I need to, but I still go deer in the headlights in conversation! But careful... I'll come practice on you again soon!
