Sadly I didn't take notes during the dinner at Zucca's, so I don't have anything for the 1975 Quevedo Colheita. It was excellent, though, and I did make a mental note that I would have rated it 93-94 points. I like Oscar's 1968 just a little better. 8--)

Andy did two blind tests for us, and I was quite pleased with myself for picking both correctly. [dance2.gif] The first was to identify the two '70 VPs. I really thought it was going to be easy because when I was taking my notes they seemed quite different, but once they were blind and being tasted head-to-head it was much harder than I expected. I was pretty sure about the Niepoort, but thought that Andy might have been pulling a fast one on us and had served us something other than the Fonseca for the second Port. But there really wasn't anything else it could have been, so I stayed with the Fonseca.

So then he made us all go wait in the kitchen while he poured two more glasses out of the six tawnies. I picked out the 1987 Niepoort Colheita without even tasting it - the color was very unique to me - and then easily identified the 1952 Moreira as the other glass.

I have to claim my moment of glory because I'll probably never be able to do something like that again!!! [yahoo.gif]
