I'll let you know when the week is over. Right now, my bid on the 1991 Grahams is still winning. Hopfeully no one here will steal it from me and I'll own 10 bottles by the end of the week.
Thanks Roy

I just ordered 2 bottles of 1983 Cockburn. I know it's a risk, but they're the last 2 bottles I need to complete my double collection of "Roy's 12" so I figured I'd go ahead and finish up the set.

Cheapest I could find was $85, which either seems high or low depending on whether or not they're corked. [dash1.gif]

Just picked-up 7 bottles of Crasto 2000 and 2 of Eira Velha 2000 for £11.25 per bottle from Sainsbury 8--)

Also picked up 5 Taylor 2003 LBV for £7.50 each and 7 Cockburn LBV 2004 for just a little less than that.

A good day [cheers.gif]

Just grabbed a 1991 Dow's for this next Friday. Just bought one because I wanted to see how the storage conditions are from this retailer. Got it for $65.

I try not to step on fellow :ftlop: 'ers toes here, and have avoided Andy in at least one auction at winebid.com. I'm foomench there. I've bid at winecommune.com before, but unfortunately they don't show user names in the bid history. TCWC? Well, that would be even more effort to avoid competing against each other.

Eric is right, If I know the person from here or elsewhere has already bid on something then I don't out bid them out of respect. On a rare occasion where I've needed a bottle for an upcoming tasting the other person has usually been very kind enough to reach a private deal later, or in a few cases of people living by me, myself or them gets the bottle and then at an offline we open it to share with each other. That generosity and friendliness is why I love Port drinkers [notworthy.gif]

First Port purchase in over a year. Picked up the FTLOP special at Salut! Wine...6-pack of 2007 Quinta do Portal VP for $347 including shipping. Worked out to just under $55/btl, which is pretty spectacular given some of the TN's I've read about it.

Not sure how much longer the deal is going on, but check out the Marketplace forum for more info.

It is pretty spectacular - I think it's one of the best Ports of the vintage!

Agreed!

I've only had it a few times now, but it rocks.
