Allan,
No clue and I've never seen a Niepoort with gold wax top either. Please let us know what they say.

2007 Delaforce LBV for only $16 ($17 with tax). Only when left in store. Be a nice cellar defender and something new to try.

My "No buying" so I can drink down the cellar isn't going so good this year. Must try harder...

2 bottles of 1984 Kopke Colheita at the lokal grocery store. $55 for the pair.

And one bottle of "very old Oporto" from a big Danish winemerchant I.C. Teilmann. Bottled in Denmark in the early 60s.

And old lady had it sitting in her cabinet for more than 40 Years. Hopefully it Can still be enjoyed.

Still not satisfied with the answer, and surprised by the late date of bottling.
Here is the answer from Niepoort Vinhos.:

"Dear Allan, that bottle we don't have records of that bottle with age indication. The stamp is from 12/06/1978

best regards from Porto".

I heard from A Danish Portfriend, that he had seen VV's in the Cellars of Niepoort, with an indication of age.
But still no idea of the meaning.

Interesting. I'll check my pictures and see if I find anything like it. But I don't think I have any of that type of bottle in their cellar, but it's been a long while since I last looked at my old Niepoort Lodge pics

- 1996 Senhora Do Convento LBV, bottled 2002 X 12 bottles
- 1999 Quinta das Heredias LBV, bottled 2003 x 6 Magnum (this is a brand of Senhora Do Convento I think)
Never had these before (nor am I really familiar with this producer), but as the (auction)prices were quite ok, I got around to winning these lots of LBV's.

A bottle of Cask 33 to share with Mr & Mrs Glenn when they visit London next month. Mr Glenn says he's not tried this yet and I had the opportunity to share a bottle with the London crew a couple of weeks ago and was really impressed - it was not too shabby (for something brown and sticky). Hopefully someone else will bring some proper red port with them.
