On friday, it had a taste of old socks...and bandaids!
But today on sonday, allmost 48 hours of breathing time....The Port is soft and smooth.
Did you decant it or just left the bottle open without the T-cork?

Nice. I've got some halves of the Secundum as well and was curious as to how they are coming along. so be sure to let us know how they are once you try them.

Opend one of my old and "uncertain" bottles.
This time a Butler Nephew.
Can't tell the age of the port. But I guess the port was ment for the market long ago. The port is still fresh and alive. Honey
and Wood.
Beautiful color, and a Nice Nose.

Opened the first Ferreira Duque de Braganca on Thanksgiving (It was emptied quickly by my guests) and on Saturday I tried one of my newly purchased 10YO Krohn.
There is no contest between the 2 when it comes to taste, but I really enjoyed the Krohn. Very delicious for a 10 year old and great QPR.

Sorry Thomas! I didnt se Your note.
I left it in the bottle for the entire 2 days.
I figured, no need to decant, when the taste was so far off. But as written, the bottle recovered, and came back alive!

I went to a Christmas lunch yesterday and brought a 2007 Graham's LBV as I don't drink schnapps. I manage to get a few guests to convert and join the dark side

1980 Gould Campbell Vintage Port - one of the freshest and best bottles I've come across. Really beginning to turn the corner and show some real complexity. Loved it.
