2007 Pocas vintage port.
I did have this in juli 2011 and had a great experience with it.
This bottle showes not that well, I've had it over three days now; it's rather soft and thin, almost only sweet fruit, but hardly any tannins and a short finish. Is this what you call a dump phase?

Yes, very well could be.

1970 Croft
Another of the bottles I got from WineBid. They've been consistent, if a little prematurely aged. Very pleasant, just nowhere near the youthfulness of most other 1970s. Probably a storage issue, but these were cheap so I don't really care. :)

1996 Fonseca Guimaraens vintage port. The first bottle of a six-pack.
Opened just an hour ago and sipped a smal pour, the first impression is not bad at all. Will write a TN in a few days.

I took two bottles with me to the Showdown at Juarez Canyon barbecue competition:
2011 Vieira de Sousa Vintage Port
NV S. Leonardo 20 Year Old Tawny Port
The S. Leonardo received higher praise, but at the end of the night it was the Vieira de Sousa bottle that was empty. (There was maybe 1.5 inch left in the S. Leonardo.)

Let's just say that Port wasn't the only beverage being served.

1977 Warres. I think this bottle was from a case I bought from HDH. Removal of the capsule revealed leakage. But color and aroma seemed good when decanted.

1996 Nacional, a great version from an unheralded year. Crazy young but still remarkably tasty.

1963 Grahams for Port Wine Day. Oporto bottled. This is now the best Port of the year for me.

A bottle of Warre 1986 LBV, bottled in 1990. Absolutely delicious, and capable of going on for at least another 10 years before starting a graceful decline.

1976 Krohn Colheita at the Harvest Festival in Grand Coulee, Washington. A fittingly superb Port for the last BBQ competition of the season.

.... And, I really dislike wax capsules, but the Port is quite nice. I think this one has probably peaked, but might stay here for a few more years.

2011 Kopke LBV
10YO Wiese & Krohn Tawny
20YO Pocas Tawny
I might crack open a 2011 Fonseca LBV that I hadn't tried yet tonight when my father stops by.
