The price seemed too good to pass up, but now I'm thinking, "When am I going to open that?"

I like your thinking, but it won't be shipped until next Monday. And I think I'm going to save this one and work through some of my 375s and 750s of 2011 first.Al B. wrote:This weekend?Eric Menchen wrote:2011 Graham's VP, double magnum

This is a great food Port - pairs well with just about anything short of hearty red meat.John M. wrote:Andresen 10 Year Old White Port.
You certainly have the experience and expertise in this matter. This is a great food Port - pairs well with just about anything short of hearty red meat.
Oh no! What happened?Glenn E. wrote: Sadly, the Pocas Quinado did not survive the return flight. :-(
Arrived today: 3 x 1987, 2 x 1966, and 1 x 1965. :)Glenn E. wrote:And from the pre-tour, I picked up 6 bottles of Kopke including 3 x 1987 Colheita, but I can't remember what the other 3 are! Might have been 2 x 1952 and 1 x 1966 Colheita? They're in transit via Iberomail.
I packed it in my suitcase inside the sturdy wood box it came in, with a sock stuffed into the box with it to fill up the remaining space and keep it from rattling around in the box. Yet somehow it still broke in the box and leaked all over the clothes that I'd wrapped the box in. No long-term damage to anything else in the suitcase, but the Quinado was a total loss.David Spriggs wrote:Oh no! Bummer! It does sound like it was a flawed bottle.Glenn E. wrote: I packed it in my suitcase inside the sturdy wood box it came in....
Glad to hear that worked. Did you just have them shipped from the store (Kopke?) in VNdG? I've been leery of that option, but may need to consider it next time.Glenn E. wrote:They're in transit via Iberomail. ...

Yep, exactly that. Lisa and I (and perhaps others) just handed them a business card, too, and they got all of the information that they needed off of that. (Name, address, contact email, etc.) It made the checkout process much smoother and faster than it has been in the past.Eric Menchen wrote:Glad to hear that worked. Good to know. I have a bunch of Portal 10 Year White and was thinking of a pair tasting.Glenn E. wrote:This is a great food Port - pairs well with just about anything short of hearty red meat.John M. wrote:Andresen 10 Year Old White Port.
Mine arrived yesterday. Totally painless! I would do that again.Glenn E. wrote:Arrived today :)Glenn E. wrote:And from the pre-tour - They're in transit via Iberomail.
I like this vintage as a whole. While most VP’s are not blockbusters and are reaching or have reached maturity now, they have been very pleasurable to drink.John M. wrote:2 x 1995 Dows Q. d. Bomfim...at a good price.
It is a nice VP. What price?Mike J. W. wrote:2 x 2016 Quinta da Romaneira VP. I bought these through an offering from the Garagiste website. It's the first time they've offered a Port since I've been a member. The price was just too good to pass up even though I've never tasted any of their Ports. 2016 is a good year so hopefully these are decent bottles.
