I forgot to mention that this is probably the best Chocapalha CH that I've had. 2011 and 2012 were excellent, but the 2015 was better.

The Crasto Touriga Nacional is one of my favorite wines, so I try to buy that every year that it's produced.

I did not pay for them, but received a belated birthday present from my son today – a mixed case (and I think mixed quality) of 11 reds and one white. Three of the reds are French, but I wondered if anyone has knowledge of the specific Portuguese wines. With the exception of the first on the list and the white I have had wines from the others.

Ferreira Malaquias Dão Reserva 1962
Grão Vasco Dão 1975
Real Companha Dão 1980
J M Fonseca Periquita 1985 & 2002
Poço do Lobo Bairrada 1991
Castelhino Colheita Especial 1997
Crasto 2008

B Paulo da Silva Colecção Privada Branco 1990

Kressmann Bergerac 1988

Picked up a few bottles of '14 Quinta do Vallado Douro Reserva "Field Blend" for $30 each. Seemed like a decent price. [shrug.gif]

Usually around $35-40 so a good price. Not the best vintage for this wine but good for a daily drinker now.

Oh jeez... Glad I bought just a few. I was hoping they would be something to hold a few years, but can drink them now just as easily.
