Quite curious how the 1995 shows when you open it.
I had one a month or two ago. It was really solid. I've picked up a total of 3 more bottles since I tried it because I like it so much.
It's a great QPR as I've been able to buy them for an average of $23.

Was under weight on one of my bags so got a 1974 Barros Colheita bottled in 2022 for 101 euros at the duty free.
Was the 1974 Carnation Revolution bottling a one-time thing? Does you bottle have a carnation motif or does it look like most of the other Barros Colheita vintages?

Eric, here's the one I had (I drank it about a year ago).

It's bottled after the carnation enamel label. That was a one time thing. I think the new bottling is better.

You are probably right. The '74 Carnation bottle was just "okay". I was expecting a little more.

I thought this was sold out? At least it was last year when I was in PT, I thought anyways.
I just looked on Wine-Searcher and there are multiple places in the U.S. that are shipping them. It's not cheap, but that's no surprise for a 50 year-old white.

Good to know. While a one time thing, one has to wonder if they might do another "one time thing" for the 50th anniversary.

I'm thinking probably yes. Maybe another enamel label with 50 on it?

I don't think that's legal? It's either a Colheita with a year on the label, or it's a 50-year old (the new category) which can then say '50' on the label.
Not sure how that would all work if they did a 1974 Colheita "bottled in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the revolution" or something like that. Then they might be able to get away with it.
