Unfortunately this looked like the type of chap for whom decisions like this did not merit the energy of a second thought!

Sogevinus is a wealthy Port holding company, backed by a Spanish banking firm. Will austerity measures in Spain allow this type of bank holding to continue in the future?

Having extraordinary proximity to the bridge and being the very first Lodge one comes to, (in Gaia when walking from Porto across) Burmester's new lodge venue was certainly a masterful coup.

Luc,

I truly hope that someday you will rejoin us for another visit to Porto-Gaia and the Douro. I admired your enthusiasm and commentary along the way and look forward to seeing some of your great photos and I know you took a bazillion. You'll never forget your first time. None of us do! :thanks:
