Barbeito 20 year old Malvazia (I think it's Lot 10292).

I'm looking forward to it!

Given enough time ... I could reapproach Sociale or other places in SF ... but would do that for 2016, NOT this year. Obtaining worthy Madeira glasses again, (NO easy feat in SF!!!!!!!!) is difficult and I have enough organizing on my plate at the moment.

That being said, those of you in and around San Jose, CA and those that can fly in and find a place to stay ... you should definitely carry on with Barry's very generous offer to host. Hopefully he has a few Madeira glasses for everyone. I think Barry and others are right ... keep it to under $200 and it will be more carefree and casual and allow more people to participate and learn. Not everybody here collects or can afford $500-$1000+ bottles; especially those that are just really exploring Madeira on a less-serious basis/early in their learning curve. Just my .

IF we would do another SF event in 2016, I am willing to organize, although Seattle would be easier, I am willing to travel down there again as I have a solid working relationship with the owners of a couple of restaurants there. But I don't want to steal Barry's thunder and hope you guys have a great time in March. I am already saddled by an annual event in ATL with two first growth Bdx events that same weekend, so unfortunately, I can not join you. Maybe Andy or David will split this off into its own topic and then a date can be chosen for next year, preferably the last weekend in April, as March and May are already pretty much filled on my calendar. You all decide ... SF or Seattle. Ultimately, outside of glassware it is all the same to me.

If we fix in April and put already date SF or my old town Seattle where I worked summer 69 at PI, I will be there !

Since we seem to be doing Borges and Malvasia, I can bring a Borges 40 year old Malvasia and a 1977 Boal just for something different.

Nice! Those were the best wines that we tasted at Borges on the Madeirathon.

Sounds great, Eric. Both Eric and David will provide a taste of last year's Madeirathon.

I'll be bringing the '88 D'Oliveras Terrantez for birth year sampling purposes, and likely another bottle. My friend has yet to pick one, but I'll let you guys know when he does.

No cigars for me... But I'm fine if you guys want to smoke.

That would be wonderful as an 'after-drinking' smoke, Eric! It will give a chance for others to 'dry out' before hitting the roads.

I will also be providing cheeses, breads, and coffees.

How are we doing on glasses, gentlemen? I have about 10 Port/Madeira glasses.

Cigars sound wonderful, happy to bring a few favorites of folks are interested.
