Exciting. Now I just want know how many cases to see if the production really is down by 20% like they state.
Yields at the 2016 harvest were relatively low and the wine is likely to be tightly allocated.”

Maybe, but given the low percentage of port going into VP production these days, this sort of marketing doesn't enthuse me greatly. Market starvation is not a good strategy in my book..

I too was surprised. I'm glad TFP has decided not to wholly kill the brand.

I am happy to report that a declaration came through this morning from Churchill's.

Seems like a contradiction? Would be surprised if Ramos Pinto declared back to back.

Got to try a few 16's at the BFT yesterday, but neither the TFP nor Syms had theirs available. First impressions are that this is a 'Portuguese' vintage - light and fruit driven.

Dirk Niepoort had a selection of blending components and provisional blends for the Niepoort '17 on display - all were very dark and intense with great promise. Very different to the 16s, and very 'English' in character.

Updated with Pintas & Quevedo.

Also added number of cases for some houses. Please chime in if you know quantities not yet added.
