Croft was corked? Or never opened it? How was the Fonseca '83?

Never opened it. '83 Fonseca is steadily improving over the last decade. I should not have been so casual with the other bottles back then.

Heat wave arrived yesterday. I gave in today when I got home from work and opened a bottle of Offley White Port. Add some ice, tonic and fresh lemon from my tree; really hit the spot.

Zoom Port Meeting tonight....I've got a 2006 & 2012 Q. do Crasto LBV on deck which I will split with others; an hour before there will be some small bottles picked up, then we get online and taste.

2011 Crasto LBV - Pop and pour. Went down quick. These have improved a lot since first release. Should be a quite the LBV down the road.

1998 Fonseca Guimaraens 375ml. Popped and poured as a night cap on Mothers Day. Used a strainer/funnel due to a disintegrating cork. Definitely enjoyable but didn't spend much time thinking about it, we were too busy watching A Year in Port. I did notice a significant amount of honey though, approaching some of the fruited (dark berry) mead I've enjoyed from Schramm's in MI.

How was the '94 Warre's?
Hi Moses!

The 1994 Warre's is showing beautifully right now! It has exceptional balance with plenty of fruit still! Of the seven or so VPs I've opened since December, it has been my favorite.

Thanks for the update!

I see you are in NC. Ever go the Angus Barn? They have an impressive port and madeira list. Been wanting to go with a port fan to split a couple of bottles. Several bottles are at less than retail.
