24 bottles of Quinta de la Rosa Reserva from 2004. The price at 35 Euros each was impossible to resist.

Also found recently some 2000 Quinta de la Rosa Tinto Reserve, and 1994 Quinta da Passadouro (bottled for Niepoort) Tinto. This is one of the benefits of living here. Now with five shops that call me when they obtain well stored, older bottles of table wine. Not Port, unfortunately. But I am drinking less old and great Ports here in general, except on tours or at the homes of friends/producers.

A fun week and from a couple of great shops that I frequently deal with:

1 Borba Montes Claros Reserva 1998 - from Alentejo. I don't expect anyone to understand why I'd want this bottle. But I only found one, which is all I needed.

2. 3 pack of Cartuxa's Pera Manca Branco 2021, Magnums - Damn the price has gone up a lot since my last big purchase of 2017s. I have a nice vertical of magnums going back from 2021 (now) to 2012. Waiting for the right moment to unleash these.

3. 6 ea. of these 3 Encruzados from Carlos Lucas: Vinha da Neve, also his next step up, the Envelope and finally his top cuvee, Dourado.

4. 16 bottles of 2021 Quinta do Noval Branco Reserva.

I do not know what's going on, but in October, every wine except the 1998 above, has been a White wine. How is that possible?

2x NV Portal da Calçada Brut Cuvée Prestige
$22 at a local restaurant to go. May not be as wonderful as some of the Champagnes I drink, but I figured at that price it could be fun.

Wow. That’s a steal. I assume they were mis-priced? Regardless, a steal!

Nope. It was advertised as $250 retail, on clearance. Just had bought a case of white Rioja for $5 each, normally $25, then they sent me this offer.

Martin's wine in Metairie, LA if interested. They had more Marka then

After opening yet another bottles of the 2022 Quevedo Branco Grande Reserva - which I had already purchased two cases of, I went back for two more and they were delivered today. I will let some of these age, they are some of the best whites I have purchased in this country since moving here.
