I am afraid I do not normally trouble the scorer in the Madeira forum however I have just a lovely week on holiday there with the family and have come back with a bottle of Faja Dos Padres 1998 Malvasia and a Cossart Gordan 1977 Terrantez.
My first visit to Madeira was with Roy on one of his wonderful trips. Faja Dos Padres I visited with Roy and again it was amazing, the restaurant Is great, nothing flashy but just so relaxing and peaceful!

Thanks for the kind words, Chris. It was great to catch up with you recently in the London burbs and share some amazing Ports and fun times yet again! I am glad to hear your family vacation went as well as planned, in Madeira! [cheers.gif]

If I only knew...

This is the one without a year (as can be seen on the bottle) stated; actually the same wine that was part of the historical tasting... http://www.fortheloveofport.com/madeira ... ez-tasting

I think there is reason to believe that it MIGHT be a 1862 Frasqueira, but you can't be sure, however.

Just awaiting delivery of 5 cases of assorted wine (Champagne, Burgundy, etc) from RWC - should be here on Wednesday.
Had already ordered:
Borges HM Reserva Solera 1940
Barbeito Malvasis Faja do Padres 1986 x 3 - really looking forward to this

Then I was short 9 bottles to make up a full case for efficient shipping so I HAD to buy more wine to do that :) Figured it may as well be Madeira rather than more table wine. So...
1917 Barbeito Sercial
1966 Barbeito Sercial
1937 D'Oliveira Sercial
Porto Moniz Verdelho x 2
RWC Historic Series Stratford Family Special Reserve x 4
Looking forward to some pleasant winter drinking :)

Reider,
You are most welcome to visit Canada any time (though I expect you would prefer the warmer climes for your vacations).
I don't have your cellar but happy to share what I have if you want to come and visit! [cheers.gif]
