See.... I told you to bow out!Glenn E. wrote:I am dismayed to realize that I have a race on March 2nd early in the morning. I can't think of any possible way to make this work that doesn't involve missing at least half of the main event, as I'd have to fly home on Saturday evening.
So unfortunately, I have to bow out. I thought the race was the week AFTER the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, not the week before.
DOH!AFTER the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, not the week before.
There are plenty of races. Trust me, I know as I've been racing bicycles for over 25 years. There are however, not plenty of events like this. Skip the race and come have fun.Glenn E. wrote:I am dismayed to realize that I have a race on March 2nd early in the morning. And they are wayyyyyy more running races than there are bike races, trust me on that one.Andy Velebil wrote:There are plenty of races. Trust me, I know as I've been racing bicycles for over 25 years. With Glenn bowing out, I need to understand what my cost will be for the wine.

This is true... let me talk it over with my wife (we're both running in the race) and see.Andy Velebil wrote:There are plenty of races. Trust me, I know as I've been racing bicycles for over 25 years. There are however, not plenty of events like this. Skip the race and come have fun.
I'll have a final decision for you by Saturday. We're already discussing it via IM. Will that be soon enough for the hotel/etc?Andy Velebil wrote:Yes I am twisting your arm hard. You need to come down for this.

I'd be happy to knock out a half with you in the morning if you could use the company.Glenn E. wrote:I'll have a final decision for you by Saturday. We're already discussing it via IM.
