Posted: Mon Jul 05, 2010 4:43 pm
Tasted at Andy's Los Angeles/O.C. Offline with Oscar Quevedo.
1996 Quevedo Colheita
Bottled in 2008.
Color: Medium to medium dark ruby/garnet. Plenty of red left, but taking on tawny notes.
Nose: Mellow and sweet red fruits... strawberries and ripe raspberries. Very slight wood note. Perfumed alcohol.
Palate: Smooth, medium to medium sweet. Moderately rich. Lingering spices; cinnamon.
Finish: Even and warm, good length.
Score: 91 points. Very nice for such a "young" Colheita - I think that those who purchased this during the recent FTLOP offering will be very pleased.
