Another new advancement for wineries

Post by Roy Hersh »

Quite an interesting concept and really out of the box, it could have great impact in some wine regions of the world:

Not a bad idea! I never thought of something like this for wineries. I will soon be experiencing the Groupon concept firsthand, as the catering business where I work will be offering a Groupon for cakes sometime this summer. So it will be my job to make the zillions of cakes when the orders start flowing in. [help.gif]

First winery-related groupon offer I've heard of, but I have friends who are deeply "into" the idea. This was 3/8 of original price (reduced by the loss of 'refund with purchase of wine'), but some groupon offers are really extreme discounts. People watch the site and broadcast the best offers to friends. Probably very effective for companies that can afford to offer deep discounts to attract new customers.
