Lots of Port consumed, far less tasting notes
I know we've touched on this in the past, however, most who are posting even semi-regularly often drink Ports that they do not write TNs for. Is there something FTLOP could do to entice folks to document their tasting experiences more frequently ... beyond a straightforward contest?
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

Re: Lots of Port consumed, far less tasting notes
I'm just guessing, but I would assume that most people post any notes that they take.
Sometimes when I have some Port I don't take a TN, so naturally there's no TN to be posted. Taking a proper TN and giving a score requires some concentration and thought, and sometimes I'm not in a position to do that.

I provide a tasting note almost every time I have a different Port. I'm not drinking much Port now because it is summer in Texas, and Port doesn't come much to mind at this time of year. If I happen to have some ruby Port under less than ideal circumstances where I don't get a chance to pay attention to the Port and evaluate it decently, I wouldn't post a tasting note on that experience.
