Mozambique also has a strong Portuguese heritage. You can’t go to one Portuguese event in New England without Shrimp Mozambique on the menu. New England also has strong ties to Cape Verde.
In doing some family research, a few cousins believe we may have had relatives living in Cape Verde. For sure we had some in Azores (this is recent news for me), but Cape Verde was also a hot trading stop for merchants.
