1900 Niepoort Colheita Port

From the FTLOP 5th Anniversary Party at the Holiday Inn Issaquah, July 31, 2010.
I was having an off palate night, possibly caused by dinner at Cucina Cucina, so my ratings were significantly lower than everyone else's. In some cases I have reverted back to my initial impressions because, in retrospect, those seem more appropriate given how others were scoring.
1900 Niepoort Colheita
bottled 1972
Color: Medium dark brown with a yellow-green rim. It has a look of old wood furniture.
Nose: Light VA, faint lemon, newbuck leather, and soft processed sugar. Tangy, but not too much so.
Palate: Tangy caramel. Good acidity and warmth. Coffee? Late, some lemon.
Finish: Good length. Smooth.
Score: 92 points. An excellent Port and one that'd I'd be happy to drink any day.
