1944 Niepoort Colheita Port

From the FTLOP 5th Anniversary Party at the Holiday Inn Issaquah, July 31, 2010.
I was having an off palate night, possibly caused by dinner at Cucina Cucina, so my ratings were significantly lower than everyone else's. In some cases I have reverted back to my initial impressions because, in retrospect, those seem more appropriate given how others were scoring.
1944 Niepoort Colheita
bottled 1974
Color: Dark brown
Nose: Some VA, sort of madeira-like. Medium strength.
Palate: Minty/spicy, thick sweetness that seems to thin out a bit over time.
Finsish: Sorter than the others in this flight, but still good.
Score: 90 points. This seemed more like a Niepoort to me than the 1900, but overall wasn't quite as impressive.
