Wal-Mart announced that, sometime in early 2010, it will
begin offering customers a new discount item .... Wal-Mart's
own brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is
rumored to be teaming up with Ernest & Julio Gallo Winery of
California to produce the spirits at an affordable price --
in the $2 to $5 range.

Wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to put a bottle of the
Wal-Mart brand into their shopping carts, but "There is a
market for inexpensive wine." said Kathy Micken, professor
of marketing at University of Arkansas , Bentonville.

"However, branding will be very important." Customer surveys
were conducted to determine the most attractive name for the
Wal-Mart wine brand.

The top surveyed names in order of popularity were:

1. Chateau du Traileur Parc [cheers.gif]
2. White Trashfindel
3. Big Red Gulp :winebath:
4. World Championship Riesling
5. NASCARbernet
6. Chef Boyardeaux
7. Peanut Noir
8. Ah Kain't Believe it's not Vinegar
9. Grape Expectations
10. Nasti Spumante

The beauty of Wal-Mart wine is that it can be served with
either white meat (Possum) or red meat (Squirrel). [rotfl.gif]

Silly Luc, you've been taken in by those Possum Council ads claiming possum is "the other white meat." Sorry, it isn't. But you could try carp or catfish.

I wouldn't step into a Walmart ... unless a gun was pointed at my head. I've detested the way they do business for many years, long before the film came out and at least a decade before the imminent class action lawsuit against them by over 1 million of their former employees.
