TN: 1985 Delaforce Vintage Port

Decant: 72 hours - Bought by the glass from The Crusting Pipe in Covent Garden. Mid-red in colour and with a strange, stewed nose that was a little off-putting. Entry into the mouth was sweet, but the fruit has a harsh, pine resin, edge and a distinctly stewed character. Good and pleasant aftertaste, long but not great. I would say that this is a poor bottle spoiled by storage at a temperature too warm since decanting. 82 points
