I saw this wine on a discount, but I'm not sure what to make of it. Does anyone have any experience with this particular port (I guess it's supposed to be different from warre's traditional LBV)?

In the Netherlands, this is sold in the supermarkets, usually around €10-11. (Currently 1999 is on the shelves). It is a filtered LBV, and by no means in the league of the traditional version.

... but then again nothing wrong with it. It is a perfectly adequate filtered LBV, better than Taylor's or Graham's IMHO. Not as good as the unfiltered Warre's (by a long way) but 2/3 of the price. Never tried keeping the unfiltered long enough to see how it lasts but this lasts pretty well for a week or so before any significant deterioration.

Is Warre's stopping to produce traditionnal LBV from the new vintages or it will continue and have both in each year released at different times?

According to the Symingtons they will produce both.

I haven't yet worked my way through the list of port producers websites that Roy included in his last newsletter, but I have looked at a few of them in the past.
I must admit that I have been rather disappointed by many of the websites. Quinta do Noval, for example, if you select the 1994 Nacional from their drop down list to read about the wine - the screen comes up blank.
I like the Symington's website and its ability to provide you with brief details of the weather conditions for the declared years back to 1900, but I find it disappointing that whenver I go to the site I get a pop-up promoting the "recently declared 2003 vintage".
