A bottle of Allesverloren 2011 Cape Vintage - tasted (and from the lack of sediment looked) like it had been cold stabilised. A bit thin and lifeless.

On the other hand I also opened a bottle (UK bottler) of Warre 1970 - as good as you'd expect it to be. I love the 1970 vintage at the moment!

1985 Gould Campbell. Had a couple of pop and pour glasses last night. Terrific port; for me one of the best of the vintage. Looking forward to more tonight

I've opened a 1977 Delaforce to try to get through the Saints - Dolphins game. Not a great game; most plays seem to be ending in penalties at the moment.

The Delaforce is delicious - right on it's drinking plateau. Sweet fruit with leathery overtones and a lovely balancing acidity. Elegant and tasty.

1970 Warre's Vintage. Very nice, and showed beautifully for this one. Shared with a group of friends for a Friday night dinner and paired nicely with cheeses and dark chocolate.

"alles verloren" would translate to "everything lost" so in a way it makes sense

(in Dutch that is, in Afrikaans it might be something slightly different)
