1997 Niepoort VP .375ml a bit ago. Has VA on the nose, will report back if it blows off or gets worse.

1997 Niepoort -- too much VA to rate. Even after extended decant time (two+ days), the VA remained and the port was undrinkable. It was a shame since this is the second bottle of '97 in the past ten days with this condition. Let's hope the remaining 4 bottles are not marred by this problem.

1983 Warre - a bit smelly and reductive at first but much improved after 24 hours in the decanter

1977 Porto Rocha Colheita - bottled 1996. Should be interesting this evening to see how a 19 year old bottling shows.

A very cloudy and sediment filled 1977 Rocha Colheita bottled 1996. I will admit that I've not seen that much sediment in a Colheita in a very long time!

A bottle of 1963 Warre which was ullaged by about 30%. Another example which proves it's really tough to destroy a port completely. It's a tawny, but a perfectly drinkable one.

A bottle of my house port - a half bottle of Croft 2004 LBV. It's so useful having a stack of these. If I run out of port in an evening these are so easy to open and use as cellar defenders.
