Only a little. From what I've read, they're not 100% certain how old the shipwreck is, and so of course can't be certain how old the Champagne is either. This is the first mention I've seen of any details like this that can provide a more firm time frame.Eric Menchen wrote:"200-year-old shipwreck" and "the branding of the corks ... featured a comet, added to pay tribute to one that crossed the skies of Champagne in 1811" doesn't seem consistent to me. Poor reporting methinks.
