Upon opening, reddish, mahogany color with olive oil rim. Clear and bright.
Aromas of raisins, dried figs. Just a hint of VA. More raisins and figs on the palate. Sweet and rich, perhaps not quite as sweet as the 10 year old Malmsey. Also less depth and concentration. Decent acidity levels. Decent finish.
The next day, this has gained a bit of richness. More integrated and complete. Still not as sweet or rich as the 10 yo Malmsey but of very good quality in it's own style. 91 points.

I split a case of this recently and that's about what I would say about it. It's hotter than the 10 year.
