The intro of a new book on Port

Post by Roy Hersh »

For those of you who do read the FTLOP newsletter, I reviewed a brand new book on Port, that Portugal's Joao Paulo Martins wrote. THE PLEASURE OF PORT ... THE INSIDE STORY OF A UNIQUE FORTIFIED WINE.

I thought I'd alert those that may not have seen the review, but more so, because the book itself is worth seeking out! [notworthy.gif]

Thanks, Roy.

Do you know when the book will be available as it is not currently listed on Amazon or any other site I normally use?

Even better, he should run an offer on FTLOP for the book autographed and maybe even at a discount. [friends.gif]

To be clear, this is not written in a way that the author would consider it "THE definitive tome" on Port. It is a fairly quick read and is a soft cover book to boot, only 5" in width across the cover; what he calls a "booklet". I believe it will be on the market before the end of this year, as Joao put the finishing touches on it in June. If you want a more certain date, I could email him and find out.
