Borges

Hi
Let us move from Broadbent to Borges. Isabelle at Borges has made many fantastic 10 and 15 year old's. And now colheitas like the others.
Do they have any agent in the US ? If not so, someone should grab the chance. They will not regret it.
Also they still have some, now hidden, wonderful vintages which sooner or later will pop up again. Among them 1877 Terrantez. I have a few.
Loking forward to my visit there in October.

I am not sure if they do have an importer/agent in the USA. Why don't you check and if Borges is still in need of an importer, I might be able to point them in the right direction. Lemme know!

Hi there!
I am searching info about Borges Terrantez 1877 - would be most happy if anyone could help with facts about the wine's history, bottlings etc. And pictures!

I have a case of 10 year malmsey in the basement. Excellent drink. The label says the importer is Aidil Wines & Liquors from Newark, NJ.
I second what Reidar said. I prefer the Borges malmsey to the Broadbent's. It's also cheaper. For those in Massachusetts, Marty's in Newton has Borges wines and Ball Square Fine Wines in Somerville also carries Borges.

Have you and Moses ever met yet?
HM Borges is a fine producer and it really is a shame that the company I met with in Edmonton and in Seattle to do importing wound up not doing so. Hopefully, someone will pick up Borges as they do have many fine bottlings but at their lodge there is really nothing old to try beyond a 40 year old.

Just picked up some HM Borges medium dry rainwater at the Shoreline Central Market. I liked it but I doubt it's his best stuff.

We have met only in e-mail regarding madeira and German reisling. I'm afraid if we get together, I'll try to keep up with him at drinking port, etc.
