Re: The Fall of the Euro
It has been a long time since we've seen a jump of .025 in a single day for the Euro. Here's why:

The Fall of the Euro
Yeah... MASSIVE jump in the Euro today. I was surprised. There have been so many "agreements" recently that haven't really fixed this. I expected the market to look at any agreement with skepticism.

And the US stock markets were up in reaction, so no net change for me vacation-wise. My salary pays the bills, my company stock pays for vacations.
Re: The Fall of the Euro
1.23895 today. This is the first sub 1.24 Euro I have seen in ages!

Wow, I can't even remember the last time the Euro hit this low point! What do you think we'll see as a bottom?

That's because I've just come back from Greece. I've been buying Euros like there was no tomorrow to be able to bring back a selection of Mavrodaphne, Moscatel and various other things that I have never had the chance to try before.Roy Hersh wrote:A stunning rebound: 1.23589
Re: The Fall of the Euro
Yes, yes .. I am positive that the Greek wine you purchased, some Commandaria too I hope, tipped the scales of the Euro for the moment. The correction has dropped it back to 1.22583 at the moment.

Re: The Fall of the Euro
In the past couple of weeks the Euro has pushed upward and has now broken the 1.25 benchmark.

Re: The Fall of the Euro
We bought our XPF (South Pacific Franc, which is tied to the Euro) for our trip to Tahiti last week. We're fine now as long as the Euro doesn't drop!
