2008 Crasto Douro Tinto
2007 Crasto Douro Branco - found 3 more this month as part of a larger lot. Who says that basic Douro whites can't age well?

I've got one bottle left that probably won't last more than another month. I've been waiting for the right time to kill it.

Andy, as you've seen ... there's certainly no rush within the next 2 years or so.

This week, since I brought down a bunch of same wines ... I've had four bottles of the 2008 Crasto Douro red (3 since last visit to this thread) and a pair of 2005 Quinta do Crasto Old Vines Reservas here in the past two nights. Next time I will make more time for packing and shipping, to enable more diversity.

how's the 2005 Old Vine showing? It's been a while since I've had one.

2003 Callabriga Alentejo
2009 Callabriga Dão
2010 Casa de Santar Dão
2010 Crasto Vinha Velha (thinking this will be fantastic if I let it mellow out for a few years)

Picked up two magnum of 2005 Terras Tomas Ribeiro - Dao for $10 each. Solid wine for money, have had back to 2000 and there's no rush to open them. Great daily drinker.

2011 Vera Alvarinho
Had it w a seafood dish and it was wonderful. Not overly bubbly, it was smooth and left a v nice fruity aftertaste.
To make it better, only nice sunny weather outside and eating it out on the porch.
At $14/bottle it ought to perform... and it did. Not a steal at that price, more of an appropriately priced wine.

2010 Niepoort Redoma Branco Reserva - paired with an equally beautiful bottle of 2010 Niepoort Coche that Andy brought for our food and wine debauchery last Friday night at the Kellogg Ranch. Wow!

2003 Quinta do Crasto, Vinha Velha Reserva - loved this alongside the great Chianti that we had at Andy's house with extraordinary steaks.

2005 Quinta de la Rosa Reserve - approaching peak but not quite there yet, but fantabulous now.

I have a 2004 Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional in the decanter for tonight, opened at 1 p.m. and likely consumed about 8-9 pm but I'll likely shut it down and back into the bottle in another hour or so, it has greatly improved in the past 3.5 hours. Will monitor it closely from here.

Ooops, almost forgot, I have a bottle that has been owned for many years but never opened, but tonight with Chris Blandy coming here for dinner, this too shall be shared: 2000 Quinta da Manoela. I will likely just give this 60-90 minutes in decanter unless someone has a better idea from experience? Really looking forward to this bottle!
