Have any of you been there before?

Even if you haven't, are any of you fans of SA wine?

I think Pinotage is pretty cool. Not something I drink regularly, but it is something fun to have on occasion. Love the coffee notes. If I ever have a dish with an espresso infused rub, I sure hope it's on the menu.

Some cool stuff there.
The centuries-old farmhouse is now being used to make wine.
But looks like it was built today with all that shiny stainless. I am envious. The tunnels with stacked bottles was impressive as well. I really want to go to Africa, but keep finding more and more to do there ... more than can be done in a single trip.

I was fortunate to spend at least three weeks on each of my trips, solely exploring the wilds of nearly every section of the winelands there. I never did get to Kruger or other parts of the country but can live with my decision. Love it there and felt as safe and as comfortable as the Douro. It is equally as spectacular! When you have to stop the car to let a family of baboons cross the road, you know this ain't Napa.
