Anything to do with the glorious 1927 vintage, the birth year of Michael Broadbent? :)

Actually Tom expected me to guess that this was his license plate number.

And I'm here, waiting to judge the efforts at decoding.

Perhaps I'll drop a hint or two tomorrow......

"Have 1927 Fonseca"

Well, you've got the answer. Tom acquired the wine recently, partly because Roy has said previously on the forum that this is his current "target" wine - the one he has never had the opportunity to try but would really like to.

Tom's intention is to try to tempt Roy into a visit to the UK to taste the wine, bringing with him an appropriate bottle to match the '27 Fonseca.

But I will leave Tom and Roy to work out logistics.

Consider it a done deal. Tom knows that I am a sucker to try that wine and would bring something worthy to the UK. Had I known he was coming to WI (I assume Wisconsin ... but it could be West Indies) I would have met him with bottle in hand. But I will certainly meet up with Tom (and maybe a SMALL group) as I think we'd talk about Port for about 3 days over 8 or 9 bottles with a few meals inbetween.

I am not one to play scramble games but congrats to Steven. By comparison my hints from A Clockwork Orange were rather easy. 8)
