A new country ...

Post by Roy Hersh »

Jancis Robinson and I are casual acquaintences and occasionally write back and forth. I have a lot of admiration for her palate, wine knowledge, charisma and extraordinary writing ability. She was instrumental in the early days of FTLOP of promoting us on her renowned Purple Pages.

Today I received a very nice email from a gentleman recommended by Ms. Robinson, to sign up for the newsletter. He is from Taiwan and I mentioned this Forum to him and hope he will join us but who knows. It has been a few months since we had somebody sign up from a new country. I was pretty pleased and thought I would share.

I hope he does, as this is truly a world wide forum. It is really great to get opinions, advice, and recommendations from people around the world, all brought together in one place.

I have said it before and I will say it again...I am extremely grateful for all the advice, help, and friendships that Roy's site has bestowed upon me. For this site has allowed me to learn more about my passion than any other place. My many thanks go out to all of you!
