Osborne in the UK

After noting that Osborne were one of the shippers to declare both '91 and '92, it occurred to me that not only had I no bottles from this shipper in my cellar, but I also couldn't recall ever seeing a bottle either.

A check on wine-searcher revealed no hits for any of their vintages in the UK, but a modest number in Portugal and the USA.

As they are now part of Taylor Fladgate, I imagine Osborne wines will probably be included in TF's future shipments to the UK (assuming they continue to market the brand..)

- But have they ever been shipped here in the past?

I only have one Osbourne in the cellar and it is an LBV (1997 or 98 I think?). I have only seen LBV's here in the states and no VP's. I also have never had an Osboune yet. Hmm, I think that LBV may be my next victim  .

LOTS of Osborne VP here in the Metro DC area. Most of it is available at Total Wine. They stock mostly 95, 97, 00 VPs. Might have older ones, not sure.

I have never seen Osbourne in the UK. My only experience of it was the 10 yr old tawny which I brought back from Spain this spring. Awfull stuff, a bit like Venos cough syrup - yuk!

Six months ago, in New York's upper west side, I saw several Osbourne early-1990s for $40 or so. Details forgotten.
