1994 Blandy's Malmsey: Quite rich, good acidity
+
Broadbent 10 year Malmsey: Medium richness, great acidity

Both are wonderful QPR Madeiras.

But...WHAT IF we mixed the two? Hmmmmm....

Let's try....a 50/50 blend of both...

The vibrant acidity of the Broadbent SIZZLES within the denser, richer Blandy's; creating a long, zingy, orange-infused brew.

My blend is complete!

I am RULER of the Madeira blending world! : [yahoo.gif]

Now tweaking with a blend of 2/3 Broadbent and 1/3 Blandy's. Possible new Eureka moment... [dance2.gif]

A week resting in the bottle after blending...This is VERY nice...a deeper width of butterscotch, carmel richness and smokiness; longer with more grip (really tugs on the palate) than the Broadbent alone. The 91 pt. Broadbent becomes a 93 pt. Broadbent/Blandy's blend, IMHO.

Is this legal? [cheers.gif]
