Won an interesting lot.

1952 Bual Royal Silver Jubilee bottled 1977, Cossart Gordon Bottle (1)
1957 Boal, Barbeito Bottle (1)
1957 Reserva, d'Oliveiras Bottle (1)
1968 Boal Reserva, d'Oliveiras (1)
1969(bottled) Rare Old Verdelho, Christopher's (1)

Any info on the Chrisopher's? One writeup indicated a blend of 3 late 19th century vintages but had no references.

2 bottle of Justino's 50 year old Terrantez. One can never have enough of these. Also the price keeps going up, so dollar cost averaging helps.

Hello everyone. I'm new here. I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum, but here it goes.

I recently acquired a bottle of 1880 Miles Verdelho Solera. I can't find any information about it. Can anyone help me out? I've tried contacting Miles, but I haven't received a response

From the Madeira Wine Company, probably then known as the Madeira Wine Association. Most likely the same wine as the Blandy's 1880 Solera Solera. Both labels were members and they consolidated wine stocks. If so, this is an excellent wine. Perhaps a tad deficient in acidity for my tastes (I'm a huge acidity freak) but rich and satisfying.
