Does anybody own a bottle of 1927 Fonseca?

Post by Roy Hersh »

I have never even seen one, nor met someone who owns a bottle, so I am just curious.
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com

Nope.

Saw a picture on the website of Golden West though; does that count?

For $1800 we could chip and buy a bottle. Nice topper to a dinner party sometime.

Interesting observation - the Fonseca '27 gets a glowing tribute from Mayson, but appears to be very scarce now.

I have the opportunity to buy a case of Fonseca '55 at the moment (if I don't it goes to auction)

Horribly expensive, yet horribly tempting.....
