Anyone familiar with 1861 Shortridge Lawton Boal?

I don't see any tasting notes, and it is not listed on the Madeira Wine Guide. I did notice that 6 bottles sold for $5400 in a Christie's auction back in 2007.

Great, good, decent? Common or rare? Any info and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated. [beg.gif] [cheers.gif]

I tried to upload pictures but I got a message that the file is too big; they exceed 256 KB. If there is a way to upload them, please let me know. Thanks.

Can't say I know anything about the wine, or about posting big pictures here, but if you want to post them to a picture hosting site and link them here, I'd love to see them!

You can purchase the 1849 version for $1450 at retail! For the extra cost, it gets you a PRE-Civil War bottle.
