I don't see any tasting notes, and it is not listed on the Madeira Wine Guide. I did notice that 6 bottles sold for $5400 in a Christie's auction back in 2007.

Great, good, decent? Common or rare? Any info and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

You can purchase the 1849 version for $1450 at retail! For the extra cost, it gets you a PRE-Civil War bottle.
