My favorite was a very basic INAO glass, until I broke it, though.
I tried Madeira in other glasses, fancy and humble, yet I could never get the Madeira pleasure that I received from the INAO.
What about you?

Re: What's Your Favorite Madeira Wine Glass?
I previously used Riedel port glasses but when we were on the island last fall for the first time had a great tasting at D'Oliveira and they used glasses which are chimney shaped. For sentimental reasons I bought a dozen and use them now. Not sure they are the best shape but are cool.

I use the Riedel Vinum port glass; seems the best for my tastes. I've also used the chimney shaped glasses, but they are a bit thick on the rim.

I agree, the chimmney glasses are thick rimmed - Riedel wins on that count. Didn't ask Luis D'Oliviera if he could tell me why the chimmney shapes were used in the tasting room at his place - they did have standard ISO style glasses as well.
Does anyone know where the shape came from?
I mostly use them out of sentimentality to remind me of the wonderful time we had on our first visit to the island.

I've got a couple Reidel port glasses, but honestly I prefer a smaller thin lipped white wine glass in a lot of cases, as it just seems to give more room to smell more things when Ports or Madeiras have a big nose.
