Some facts about the Harvest Trip

So i did a tally of how much was drunk during the trip. This included the pre-trip warm up at Vinologia, cask samples, barrel samples, stuff from little baby food looking jars (aka 2006 samples) and two Lagares samples
Ports: 163
Dry wines: 43
TOTAL: 206
Daily average was 29.4

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to add....
1-
SUPER BOCK 
and I did have a small bottle of a badly cooked 2000 Grahams LBV on the plane ride home...the steward on the plane thought I was nuts to drink port with the lunch they were serving...if only he knew

Were your hands trembling when you opened the cooked Grahams 2000 LBV? I confess that I've gone to the other extreme. After 3 days of soaking up port (and having purple sh*t) I have now been 3½ days without alcohol and can't see me opening a bottle tonight.
Maybe I'll choose one from storage tonight and stand it up with the intention of opening it Thursday.

I am please to say that I have now stopped "throwing a crust" and am glad to find I wasn't the only one who suffered from the purple problem

My hands were trembling so badly the steward had to open the bottle
The worst part was I drank it even though it was cooked...now I must run, as I have an A.A. meeting to attend

I sent my liver out for a double dose of dry cleaning yesterday and today all is fine. As my wife had received a raise at work, I opened a bottle of Champagne last night and therefore did not even have 24 hours since arriving at home to forego alcohol. But I begged off of Port for dessert.
If the UK guys think 3 days was difficult from a stamina standpoint, they should have seen what 7 days/nights was like.
